Wagon Rides

Pass Creek Angus Ranch provides horse-drawn wagon rides on our variety of wagons, buggies and carriages for our guests. Enjoy the beautiful Montana scenery while riding through the countryside in a wagon powered the old-fashioned way!

We have a some modern wagons and some historic wagons including a covered wagon. During the winter months when there is snow, we also offer horse-drawn sleigh rides.

2022 Rates

Hourly rate per person (2 hour min)  $45

Hourly rate per family (2 hour min)   $90


Horseback Rides

Horseback riding is a favorite of many of our guests. Experience the wonders of nature, the vivid colors, the beauty of wildflowers and spectacular scenery! Our horses are well-mannered and even a new rider will feel comfortable in the saddle. Don’t forget to bring riding clothes and your camera!

We offer group trail rides for groups of 6 to 15 people. Contact us for arrangements and pricing!

We also provide Horse Motel horse boarding services for a fee.

Other Activities

Besides horseback riding and wagon rides, there are other enjoyable activities available at Pass Creek Angus Ranch to allow you to capture the spirit of the old west.
You can participate in the daily chores to get first hand experience of western ranch life or just watch. Hiking, sightseeing and bird watching is also popular with some of our guests. A short hike up the hill behind the cabins provides a view of the spectacular Big Horn Mountains. During the winter months when there is snow, we also provide horse-drawn sleigh rides.

For history enthusiasts, Pass Creek Angus Ranch is located near many historic sites. We are 33 miles south of the Little Big Horn Battlefield, we are located on the Crow Indian Reservation, 36 miles from Sheridan, Wyoming and 71 miles from Buffalo, Wyoming. Sheridan is home to the Trails End Historic site and the King Ropes Museum. South of Sheridan is Fort Phil Kearny and the Fetterman Battlefield, where several Indian battles took place. Buffalo has the Jim Gatchell Museum of the West and the famous Occidental Hotel and many other attractions.

Within a short driving distance from the ranch is the Yellowtail Dam, which backs up water for 70 miles. The beautiful Big Horn Mountains are also within a short driving distance – experience unmatched mountain views and the opportunity to see area wildlife. Eastern Wyoming, also within a day’s drive round trip, is graced by Devil’s Tower and the Black Hills.
